What is gravity racer?

An opportunity to enter a dynamic challenge whilst taking

part in an Apprenticeship. The core activity is engineering,

however teams will be required to access and perform
within the following skills sectors:

  • Design
  • Marketing
  • Finance and business planning

 

The Challenge

To design, engineer and pilot a ‘Gravity Racer‘

  • The majority of team members must be engaged in an
    Apprentice programme at any level
  • Teams must link with an industry partner(s)
  • Racers must be powered by gravity alone
  • Teams must consist of a minimum of 3 members
  • All Racers must have budget documentation and must
    have a starting grid cost of less than £500 in components
